State University Industrial Extension Service Job Summary: -Provide consultative assistance in environmental, health and safety areas that are beneficial to businesses and industries in NC, specifically instructing OSHA Training Institute and HAZWOPER courses, RCRA Hazardous Waste Management and DOT Hazardous Material Transportation. -Responsible for assisting and working closely with IES Account Managers and independently visiting plant sites. -Assist businesses with safety and environmental programs through assessments, training, and other educational media. -Responsible for writing safety programs and assisting with grant proposals and related work. -Ability to keep current on environmental and safety regulations and provide sites with updates through written synopses, technical presentations, or other methods that convey requirements efficiently.
